Discover the West End’s Summer Magic: Yinka Ilori Transforms Piccadilly Circus

This summer, the iconic Piccadilly Circus is getting a vibrant makeover, thanks to British-Nigerian artist and designer Yinka Ilori MBE. From August 20th to 31st, Piccadilly Circus will be home to Ilori’s latest work, ‘Good Things Come to Those Who Wait’—a stunning installation that reimagines the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain with two Pegasus-inspired sculptures.

Standing 23 feet high, these colourful winged horses are a fresh addition to this iconic London landmark—the first in over 130 years! Ilori’s artwork, with its bold colours and uplifting messages, symbolises the power of imagination and the belief that anything is possible.

Whether you’re out for a stroll, meeting friends, or enjoying a summer date night, this temporary installation is a must-see. Guests staying at the hotel can enjoy a unique vantage point, with stunning views of Ilori’s vibrant sculptures from select suites. It’s not just for adults; families with children can also engage with the art through free colouring sheets available during lunchtime and online, perfect for sparking creativity.

This installation is part of Art of London’s mission to turn the West End into an open-air gallery, making art accessible to everyone. It’s a great way to experience the city’s cultural heartbeat during your visit. If you’re planning to explore more of what the London has to offer, Art of London provides online guides to the area’s galleries, theatres, museums, and pop-up events.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to see Yinka Ilori’s work up close and be inspired by the magic of Pegasus at Piccadilly Circus.
